He is one bloody good guy
Jackson Holland brings more than 15 years of distinguished experience within the hospitality industry to his role as recipe creator of Charleston Beverage Co. and co-proprietor of Icebox Consulting, he and Boris Van Dyck’s consulting firm specializing in bar and beverage program consultation and implementation.
Before venturing out on his own, Holland worked for some of the most acclaimed food and beverage destinations in Charleston. He was the opening lead bartender for Husk, Food & Wine magazine’s “Best New Restaurant” in 2011. Using his mixology experience and sommelier certification, he served as beverage director of The Macintosh, an Esquire magazine Best New Restaurant in 2012. Holland was promoted to general manager of The Cocktail Club, where his skills were recognized in national cocktail competitions at the Manhattan Cocktail Classic in New York and the Nightclub & Bar Expo in Las Vegas.
Holland knew Charleston Mix owner, Ryan Eleuteri from their mutual friend Boris Van Dyck. When Eleuteri was ready to reinvent the Charleston Mix recipe, Holland came on-board and collaborated (with Van Dyck) on the recipe for Charleston Mix “Bold & Spicy.” Their efforts were rewarded when Charleston Mix won the 2011 Garden & Gun magazine “Made in the South” award for the food division and a Gold Medal at the 2015 Los Angeles International Spirits Competition.
