Whiskey, Wine & Wildlife – April 22-24 @ Jekyll Island, Georgia –
A SPIRITED WEEKEND ON JEKYLL ISLAND
Whiskey, Wine & Wildlife – “W3” artfully combines renowned beverage tastings and inspired cuisine from some of the South’s best and award-winning chefs, an esteemed group of masters from all walks of life. From master distillers, master chefs, master wildlife researchers and famous pitmasters, to Georgia’s only Master Sommelier, Michael McNeill.
The inaugural event features an impressive list of talent including: Ron Eyester and Kenny Gilbert, from Bravo’s “Top Chef”, Laura Lyn Carter, GPB TV host, five master distillers and some of the Golden Isles’ best culinary, including Southern Soul Barbecue, Halyards, The Farmer & The Larder, Sea Island Resorts, the Jekyll Island Club Hotel, The Westin Jekyll Island and a group of renowned southern chefs from Atlanta, Savannah, Jacksonville and Charleston.
BMW Charity Pro-Am – May 19 – 22 @ Greenville, South Carolina –
Celebrating its 16th year in 2016, the BMW Charity Pro-Am tournament will be held May 16-22. The Reserve at Lake Keowee will be one of the host courses along with Thornblade Club and The Preserve at Verdae. This is the only tournament on the Web.com Tour where amateurs and celebrities are grouped with Web.com Tour professionals in a 4-day better-ball competition over 3 courses. To date, more than 120 celebrities, including Kurt Russell, Wayne Gretzky, Catherine Bell, Kevin Costner and Dennis Quaid, have participated in the tournament, which is broadcast worldwide by the Golf Channel.
The 2015 tournament raised $758,985 for local charities, bringing the total raised over the life of the tournament to more than $11.5 million
Atlanta Wine & Food Festival – June 2-5 @Atlanta, Georgia –
The Atlanta Food & Wine Festival was created in 2010 to shine an international spotlight on the rich food and beverage traditions of the South from Texas to the District of Columbia. We do this through a couple of key activities:
Cooking, cocktail, pairings and technique classes, all led by award-winning Southern chefs, mixologists, distillers, authors, and sommeliers.
Tasting Tents that showcase some of the region’s best flavors and talent and highlight international flavors that have become Southern favorites. The Festival’s Tasting Tents are an all-you-can-indulge experience, which means your entrance ticket gets you unlimited tastes.
DINNERS & EVENTS
From large parties, a wine lunch, and a Sunday Brunch to evening Tasting Tents and intimate Chef dinners, there is almost no end to great flavors and fun at the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival.
