The ingredients

Listed below are just a few of the ingredients used -- in perfect harmony -- to create
the refreshing, delicious flavor of Charleston Mix Bloody Mary.

Worchestershire Sauce

Worcestershire sauce is a fermented liquid condiment often used with grilled or barbecued meats, as well as in cocktails. After numerous trials, we found that only the best varieties made with premium vinegar, molasses, sugar, salt, and onions will do.  That’s why Charleston Mix contains only the finest – Lea & Perrins® Famous Worcestershire Sauce imported from England.

Sea Salt

Obtained through the evaporation of salt water, sea salt is preferred in gourmet cooking due to its flavor and consistency.  Much like the ocean air that blows through the streets of historic Charleston, sea salt gives Charleston Mix a briny flavor that will remind you of the historic seaport that is its namesake.

Ground Peppercorn

Dried black pepper, which is derived from peppercorns, has been used since antiquity for its flavor and is even professed to have numerous health benefits.  We believe that we have determined the perfect consistency of ground peppercorn to be used in our Bloody Mary – enough to put the wind in your sails while still handing you a life jacket.

Habanero Mash

Unlike the majority of mixes available on the market today, Charleston Mix uses no horseradish.  Instead we’ve opted for the more nuanced boldness of an all-natural habanero mash.  Unlike horseradish, which tends to strike your palate immediately, habanero mash has a slower more gradual effect on your senses.  Although it doesn’t immediately stand out, after a few sips you’ll come to recognize and love its heat.

An herb in the mint family, marjoram has oval green leaves that carry a mild, sweet, oregano-like favor.  Marjoram adds a depth of richness and sweetness to the Charleston Mix blend.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Long heralded for its numerous health benefits, apple cider vinegar is made by fermenting the juice squeezed from freshly picked apples.  Apple cider vinegar is used liberally in both mixes and is the cornerstone of Charleston Mix’s reputation of being a healing elixir.  It’s sweet and sour taste is a perfect complement to the bold mixture of fresh herbs and spices found in the mix.
